iQ Construct were employed by the Department of Defence to undertake a number of remediation activities at RAAF Base Amberley. The works included the demolition of two 80kl fuel tanks including the surrounding foundations and pumping equipment. Following this iQ Construct provided two new fuel tanks for the new engine test cell one (ETC1) fuel farm.
Additional works around ETC1 included the demolition of a 500kL concrete watertank, and supply and installation of a new 200kL fire suppression water tank. In addition iQ Construct undertook the replacement of over 60 asbestos communication pits across the base, and the refurbishment of the airside TACAN building.
