After successful completion of RAAF Amberley 23 Squadron roof replacement works, iQ Construct was engaged for the refurbishment of a communications tower adjacent to the 23 Squadron Building.
Project works involved decommissioning and removing existing antennas and equipment from the existing communications tower, stripping off lead paint and re-coating the tower surface. Engaged on a D&C contract, iQ Construct also designed and constructed a new pre-fabricated communications hut in which to relocate radio head-end equipment into.
Further works included remediation and painting of airside lighting towers.
