iQ Construct proudly announces the successful completion of the UQ CQU Health Facility refurbishment project at the Central Queensland University City Campus, Rockhampton. As the head contractor, we delivered a seamless design and construction process, upgrading and transforming the space into a modern, functional, and innovative environment.
Key features of the renovation include the installation of two manual operable walls within the Case-Based Learning (CBL) room, creating adaptable spaces for collaborative learning. The addition of glazed partitions, custom-built lockers, and acoustic paneling ensures both privacy and practicality. The informal areas were enhanced with new carpet tiles, ceiling grids, and planters equipped with power provisions, blending functionality with aesthetics. Furthermore, a new kitchenette and comms room were introduced, providing essential utilities and advanced connectivity.
Our comprehensive approach extended to critical mechanical and electrical works, including the installation of VRF cassette units, upgraded ventilation systems, and precise testing and balancing of air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance. Electrical upgrades incorporated modern lighting configurations, new power provisions, and advanced switchboard modifications, enhancing usability and energy efficiency. iQ Construct has demonstrated our commitment to delivering exceptional results, creating a versatile space that aligns with Central Queensland University’s vision for providing modern and world class learning environments in remote areas.
