iQ Construct has successfully delivered multiple projects in the Gympie Region as part of the Community & Recreational Assets Recovery & Resilience Remediation (CRARRP) Program. These projects represent four of the sixteen projects under the CRARRP initiative, a $75 million program jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments. This initiative aims to support local governments and eligible not-for-profit sport and active recreation organizations in 37 Queensland local government areas (LGAs) impacted by extraordinary weather events.
Significant rainfall and flooding events occurred in the Gympie region during 2022, submerging and significantly damaging sporting clubhouses and sporting fields. As the head contractor, iQ Construct managed the Design & Construction for the following remediation of the following four community assets within the Gympie Region: Gympie Australian Football Club Inc., Gympie Horse and Rodeo Association Inc., Gympie & District Pony Club Inc., and Gympie Albert Park Complex.
Internal and external remediation and upgrade works across all clubs has significantly improved the infrastructure, safety, and functionality of these key community and recreational facilities. Through structural enhancements, modernized amenities, and improved lighting solutions, iQ Construct is proud to have contributed to building greater resilience and sustainability and returning usability to regional sporting and community organizations.
These projects highlight iQ Construct’s expertise in delivering high-quality construction and remediation works, reinforcing their commitment to community infrastructure and long-term resilience.
