iQ Construct is proud to have been involved in the federal and state governments funded community and recreational asset recovery and resilience program (CRARRP). The Department of Tourism and Sport (DTS) program has delivered funding to rebuild extraordinary weather damaged community assets across 37 local government areas.
iQ Construct have completed the Downy Park Netball Association refurbishment as part of the DTS CRARRP program. The Downey Park Women’s Sports Reserve has been in operation since 1959. As the disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic abated in 2021, new challenges were faced by the netball community with southern Queensland ravaged by multiple floods in the early months of 2022.
Affected by the floods were the clubhouse canteen and storage facilities. iQ Construct stepped in to bring this structure back to life by replacing all internal walls, internal floors, ceilings, doors and door hardware and kitchen equipment.
Furthermore, an upgraded electrical system and the construction of a new pass through to the canteen from the kitchen for consumers to easily collect food and beverages through a new POS system has refreshed and revitalised this space.
Club owners and patrons alike can now use their upgraded facilities and enjoy all upcoming netball seasons.
