Virgin Mary Orthodox Coptic Church

iQ Construct is proud to announce the successful completion of a landmark new build for the Virgin Mary Coptic Orthodox Church in Calamvale. This community-funded project brought together vision and engineering ingenuity, delivered in collaboration with Gripfast Consulting. The two-storey, architecturally designed building features striking precast arched concrete tilt panels and stands as a testament to modern craftsmanship and cultural heritage. Surrounded by extensive landscaping, the site also includes a 75-space carpark, integrated inground services, and comprehensive stormwater management system.

One of the most technically challenging and rewarding elements of this project was the construction and precision lifting of three iconic dome structures—two weighing 7.5 tonnes and one an impressive 15 tonnes. These domes required months of meticulous planning, coordination, and expert engineering to bring to life, forming the visual and spiritual centrepiece of the Church. iQ Construct is honoured to have played a role in delivering a space that will serve as a pillar of community and worship for generations to come.
